About Me


Hi, I'm Austin the Founder & Technical Director of All Things Toasty Software Ltd, an official UK Odoo Partner helping restaurants and hospitality businesses run smoother, smarter, and with far fewer "why isn't this working?" moments.

I'm also a first year student at Lancaster University studying an MSci (Hons) in Software Engineering. Yes I study full-time and run a company at the same time, No, I don't sleep much.

I like clean interfaces, efficient code, and any colour scheme that doesn't look like it crawled out of the abyss.

When I'm not studying, or browsing Odoo's internals, I'm currently working on The Bread Bin a Kotlin Multi-platform app for routine management that syncs across desktop and mobile. Think of it as productive software, but friendly, cute, and toasty.

Unless its not already been obvious, I maintain a complete obsession with toast related themes (expect you Alan MacMasters, you know what you did.) 

What I Do

Odoo Development

I build and design custom modules as well as customise and set up existing booking systems, ordering flows, POS logic, integrations, automation, etc., basically anything that a restaurant might need to run without losing its sanity.

Technical Direction

I like to turn a clients chaos into cleaner efficient workflows built with a stable architecture, and software that actually does as its told (or at least what I think I'm telling it)

Projects

The Bread Bin is a cross-platform routine manager that is being build using the Kotlin Multiplatform. It syncs routines across allowing you to store your LOAFs (Library of Applications and Files) across desktop and mobile devices allowing you to seamlessly open any and all applications and files that you need for specific files in the exact way you want them.

Split Loaf is a Windows utility to allow the keyboard and mouse to be used interdependent of each other so even while the mouse is active in other windows, the keyboard can still type in a different one. It's currently working quite well with a pre-release available, it might turn out to actually be a success.

Small Bit of Toast is a fork of Lancaster Universities microbit-v2-samples repository to make custom adjustments to the CODAL runtime as well as adding simplified build processes for both Windows (using PowerShell scripts to avoid needing WSL) and Linux to allow me to easily build my projects from inside my main working directory without needing to manually copy files over.

Toasty Numbers Challenge is a Kotlin based mobile application for Android devices that aims to help boost mathematical skills, it took design influence from early versions of Fabian Schläfli's Quick 36 however uses custom code with a Firebase back end to handle user accounts and device sync.
